From time to time, especially the longer you use Sittr, you may receive notifications relating to updating your verifications. The following details outline what we may ask for and why.

Identity

As a payments service, we are required to meet certain regulations to ensure that we know the true identity of our users. Although we use Stripe to verify your identity at the time your profile is first approved, these requirements may change over time or expire.

When this happens, Stripe will send us a notification requesting more information from you and we will send you an email notifying you that your Idenity Verification requires attention.

If you receive this notofcation, just follow the link or log into your Sittr profile and follow the prompts to re-verify your Identity. Once this is done, your Sittr profile should be automatically re-enabled with-in a few minutes.

Background or Working With Children Check

Background checks and Working With Children Checks have an expiry date (typically 2 years for a Criminal History Check, or 5 years for a Working With Children Check depending on your location).

As this expiry date approaches, we will remind you to update your details on your Sittr profile. When you receive a reminder, simply log in to your Sittr profile and follow the prompts to update your background check details.

Depening on your state, your Working With Children check details may be verified and your Sittr profile re-enabled automatically. You will receive a notification once

First Aid

In line with childcare regulations, your Senior First Aid or Childcare First Aid course needs to be renewed every 3 years (or every 2 years if you are in New Zealand). Please note that this is in addition to your annual CPR certification.

As this expiry date approaches, we will remind you to update the details on your Sittr profile. When you receive a reminder, simply log in to your Sittr profile and follow the prompts to upload your new senior First Aid certificate.

How to update your verifications

You can manage your profile both in the App or via our website. If in doubt, just head to https://www.sittr.com/profile and scroll down to the Verifications section - this will tell you exactly which areas need attention.
